In today's global digital economy, the way we do business cuts across geographic boundaries and traverses a spectrum of cultures. - Communicate more effectively across cultures by using new skills, techniques and practices;
- Enhance individual cultural competence in four specific areas that incorporate Intercultural Sensitivity, Intercultural Communication, Building Commitment & Preference for Certainty;
- Capitalise on cultural differences;
- Explore specific work practices for working with cultural diverse & virtual teams.

- Cultural strategies for behaviour
- Communication preferences, styles, techniques & technologies
- Work practices for effective meetings, tele/video conferencing and emails;
- Communication practices such as obtaining information, persuading others;
- Management practices such as decision making, task completion and participation;
- Business case scenarios drawn from over 15 years of experience.

Joost Thissen is Partner of cultureresourcecentre, a specialist organisation that offers cross-cultural management training programs, and provides advisory services in the area of transformation for global business readiness. Originally from the Netherlands, Joost brings over 15 years experience dealing with a broad cross-section of national and organisational cultures, with specialist skills in cross-cultural management.
Joost is associated with a number of national and international networks including IBI, the Netherlands, and the Centre for Leadership and Cultural Intelligence, Singapore. Joost is certified by ICCP in executive coaching.
